Cherries and Double Gingham

This outfit looks like a picnic on a spring day! From the cherries to the double gingham in pink and green, I am definitely ready for going to a spring picnic and I have been eyeing this pink cherry cardigan for a while at Forever 21! To tell the truth, I first discovered it in the girls' department of the store and was so in love with it that I tried it on in the biggest children's size they had! Unfortunately, the sleeves were a little too short, so imagine my delight when I found that they also had it in an adult size! When it went on sale I finally purchased it and I couldn't be happier with this fun, cheerful, cherry cardigan! Below you will find some additional cherry cardigans that will put the cherry on your sundae!

At first I was thinking of just pairing this cherry cardigan with a tee shirt and jeans but I thought that would be too boring. Therefore, I opted instead for this gingham skirt! Gingham is one of my favorite patterns for spring! As you can see, I like gingham so much that I decided to not only wear a gingham skirt but also gingham sneakers for a gingham on gingham look! While this skirt is from last year, clearly the gingham trend is still going strong for this spring, so I have linked to some of my favorite gingham skirt options below.

Spring Shirt Dress

I love a good shirt dress and also a good print, so as you can imagine, I was head over heels in love with this cute shirt dress from the Gap! I wore this shirt dress a couple of weeks ago on one of the first days that really felt like spring here in California. Speaking of spring, in the background you can probably see just a little bit of pink from the gorgeous trees in the background. I am not exactly sure what type of trees they are but their pink blossoms are such a welcome sight because they officially kick off the spring season here!

To accessorize my printed shirt dress I decided to go with some fun pops of color to bring out the color palette of the dress.  There are so many gorgeous colors in this dress, so it was hard to decide on a bag but I decided to reach for my new Teddy Blake bag to bring out the blue from the print of the dress! I think the light blue color of the bag when combined with the a pop of purple/pink from my shoes also help to make the dress look more spring-like and also to put a spring in my step!

Quintessentially Palm Springs

We went to Palm Springs for a short day trip last week. Palm Springs tends to get crowded in April around spring break and Coachella, so the month of March is the perfect time to beat the crowds and to also enjoy weather that is not nearly as hot as the scorchers they have during the summer! Because Palm Springs is a paradise of gorgeous and colorful, not to mention "Instagramable", locations, I always try to hit a couple cool places for blog photos or Instagram pics. On this most recent trip, the Trixie Motel was on the top of my list of places to check out. As you can see, it's definitely a pink lover's paradise! I thought this Trina Turk top, which screams Palm Springs, would be the perfect thing to wear to this pretty pink location and also while walking around Palm Springs!

The Trixie Motel is definitely quintessentially Palm Springs in its aesthetic, much like my top! The motel hasn't open yet, but I have already seen numerous photos of it on Instagram, so clearly they are getting a lot of hype due to the gorgeous design of these doors and the abundance of pink! (Who can resist pink?) This motel would definitely be a place I would love to stay if we ever did more than just a day trip to the Palm Springs area! Maybe next time?

Teddy Blake: My New Handbag Obsession!

It's no secret that I love handbags! In fact, I have been collecting handbags for over a decade now and, not to brag, but I do consider myself to be somewhat of a connoisseur when it comes to luxury leather goods. So, when Teddy Blake contacted me about featuring one of their handbags on my blog I was naturally curious and eager to experience their brand to see if their products would live up to my standards. Upon visiting their website, I was thrilled to discover that all of their handbags are leather and made in Italy! The second thing that made an impression on me is that they have a wide array of styles and colors from which to choose! So, between the promise of a high quality Made in Italy handbag and lots of options in terms of both color and style, I was officially sold on Teddy Blake!

To be honest, it was a challenge selecting which bag I wanted from Teddy Blake but I finally narrowed it down to the Chiara Vitello in light blue. Believe it or not, I do not own a blue bag (I know, I thought I had all the colors!), so I thought this bag would complete the rainbow of handbags in my collection. When the bag arrived, the first thing I noticed was the gorgeous outer box and dustbag that the handbag came in. (First impressions are important, after all.) The packaging rivals that of designer brands that cost several times the price. More importantly, the quality of the handbag is also is comparable to that of much more expensive designer bags. From the high quality leather to the unique details of the hardware and overall craftsmanship, I'm in awe that Teddy Blake is able to produce such a high quality bag at such a reasonable price!

So, to sum up, I am officially in love with this Teddy Blake bag! It's definitely a welcome addition to my collection of fine handbags and something I can see myself wearing for years to come due to its classic styling and high quality. In fact, I have already styled this bag with a few other outfits because it looks so good with so many things!

Liberty Print

As I've mentioned before, when I first started blogging, I featured a lot of J. Crew clothing on my blog. Over the last year, I've found the brand to be a lot less interesting and innovative than before. However, every once in a while there's a piece that really catches my eye, such as this liberty print top. This print is perfection, in my opinion, and I especially love the fun array of colors featured! This top is one of those pieces that I spent a little more on than I thought it was worth (even though it was on sale), just for fear of missing out. Well, I'm really glad that I got it because it's now almost sold out and I think this is definitely a top that I will enjoy for years to come!

While there are many colors that would look amazing with this top, I decided to go with a pop of hot pink! I recently got these wide leg corduroy pants, which were deeply discounted, at Anthropologie. Unfortunately, they are now sold out (they really were a great price, especially for Anthropologie!) but I linked to some similar ones below. I also thought the pink pants would be a fun contrast with this unique building that might look like it's in Miami but is actually part of the Beverly Hills City Hall. I love the tropical vibe of this place and it's certainly a hidden oasis that I'm not sure many people in L.A. know about!
