Gilded Age

In my last post, I wrote about how I have been wearing pants a lot lately. This post is further evidence of that fact. While I was wearing these gold jacquard pants last week, my husband asked me, "Don't you have any normal pants?" The answer to that would be no. This is especially true around the holidays. I have pants with bows, plaid ,and an array of abstract designs that I tend to break out this time of year. Thanks to these fun pants, it's so easy to just throw on a colorful sweater and instantly look chic without much effort.

These gold jacquard pixie pants from Old Navy, which are still available in some stores, are perfect for the holidays, be it Christmas or New Years. I was originally going to pair them with something simple like a black turtleneck sweater, but on the day I decided to wear them, Old Navy sent out an image of the pants on Instagram paired with red shoes and a yellow sweater, so I recreated that look. My signature stamp on the ensemble is my purple bag, because you can never have too many colors or, apparently, too much gold!
