Buffalo Soldier

I am known for wearing skirts all the time. I suppose it's sort of my signature "thing", but lately the weather here has been relatively cool, at least for Los Angeles. Because of this, I've been turning to the pants in my wardrobe on a regular basis, recently. In my opinion, pants are not as fun as skirts and there is not as much variety, which is why I don't wear them that often. For the holidays, however, plaid and buffalo check pants are great way to jazz up your wardrobe while looking festive at the same time. Plus, I always feel a little like Gwen Stefani in plaid pants. (I wish!)

I bought these buffalo check pants from Old Navy a couple of weeks ago. It seemed like they were sold out in my size in store, but when I came out from the fitting room they had magically appeared, as if from nowhere, or, perhaps, as a gift from the fashion gods. I think I have written this numerous times before, but I take about four different sizes in Old Navy pants, so it's always best to try everything on. Taking this into consideration, I returned back to the fitting room for a second time to double check the fit and luckily it was a match made in plaid heaven!

While these pants are sold out online, I have linked to some other great plaid options below. I would like to get better about posting items of clothing on my blog before they sell out, but it always seems like when stores like Old Navy or J. Crew come out with really amazing things for the holidays, including plaid items, they fly off of the shelves in the blink of an eye!
