I've been in the dark ages for a while now, the dark ages of technology that is. Until a sudden incident last week (involving the jaws of our puppy, William) my husband and I were using flip phones or "dumb phones" for communicating with the outside world. When William got a hold of my husband's phone and used it as his personal chew toy, we decided it was a sign from the technology gods telling us to upgrade and enter into the 21st century. Like cavemen emerging from the cave, we left our home and made a trip to the local Best Buy to purchase the (relatively) new iPhone 5. After having it in my possession for a week now, I don't know how I ever lived without this new fangled technology. There are so many practical and even more importantly, so many completely frivolous applications for it, how can I ever go back to my prehistoric ways?
Due to my love of accessories and accessorizing, my thoughts immediately turned to which case to get for a home for my iPhone. In fact, I was surfing the J. Crew and Kate Spade websites for cases (via my new phone) while we were finalizing our contract at the store. I can't believe how much they charge for what is essentially a thin piece of plastic. The sale price of the J. Crew covers seemed to be a good value compared to other designers (about $15 or less), plus they have lots of cute designs to choose from. I picked this one which features a fashionable lady and her equally fashionable dog, as it is reminiscent of William and me.

Since the iPhone cover from J. Crew only cost $15 and I ordered it online, I didn't want to have to pay another $8.95 for shipping. My solution? Buy a few more things using the most recent promo for 25% off any purchase. Here is a sneak peek at some of my purchases:

Welcome to the 21st century, Katie! ;) Looks like William is going through quite the chewy phase, now isn't he? In any case, can't wait to see what you got in the green and pink floral print!
ReplyDeleteYes, William didn't chew at all as a young puppy, but now he's getting his revenge. I hope to debut by new arrivals soon, when the weather warms up a bit.
