A Pot of Gold at the End of the Rainbow

It's now officially March, which means that St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner! While I always make a point of wearing green, like this green cashmere sweater, to celebrate the occasion, with this look I'm also adding a touch of gold in the form of this stunning gold skirt to make the look extra special. This skirt was something that I picked up a few weeks ago on sale at Anthroplogie. I will have to say that it is quite a show stopper and will turn a few heads as you walk down the street. In this case, I was walking down Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood.

This fun rainbow mural is located outside of a boutique called the Paper Bag Princess in West Hollywood. It's been on my list of murals to visit in Los Angeles for quite some time now. Like many of the murals on Melrose, this was quite a popular spot for photos, which is understandable. One of the things that I think makes this particular mural special is that it appears to be some sort of yarn or macrame, which makes it different than your average painted wall. While most of the people who stopped by to take pictures here had relatively boring outfits, I will have to say that my gold skirt stuck out from the crowd; it was truly the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!
