I'm crazy for dots! So, when I saw this embroidered dot top (also available here), I knew it was perfect for me! Plus, the fabric is tulle, which is another win in my book! I decided to go with neutrals with this particular outfit, which, I know, is a rarity for me! While you might ask if I'm feeling okay because I'm not dressed in head to toe color, let me assure you that the accessories are popping with color, namely the color red! Because I wore this outfit pre-Valetine's day, I decided to go with some red accessories in the form of my new red heart sunglasses and red tote bag.
I also thought that the more neutral tones of this outfit would work with this more subdued wall. I discovered this mural in Pasadena last year and although it's not popping with color either, it's become one of my favorite backdrops for outfits; I just love all of the doodles and scribbles! In fact, this mural reminds me of all of my notebooks in high school and college! All in all, it was nice to take a little departure from my more colorful attire and backdrops. I guess you could say that it really lets the dots be the stars of the show!
