I wore this outfit on New Year's Eve, which feels like it was a long, long time ago! Even though we didn't go out at night to celebrate or do anything fancy, we did go out to a casual lunch on that particular day. Since it was New Year's Eve, I thought it would be fun to get a little dressed up with this floral tulle skirt and my gold glitter flats. Sure, I was perhaps a bit overdressed for just a casual lunch date with my husband, but I never mind being more dressed up than others!
This floral top from J. Crew, which is part of their collaboration with Abigail Borg, is one of the things that I purchased during the after Christmas sales and I think it makes the outfit a little more casual, as it's basically a long sleeve tee. I love how the floral print of the top perfectly matches the petals that are on my tulle skirt. The shirt is also a perfect match for the background, which, I believe, to be Camellias. At first I thought that the flowers were roses but my husband corrected me and said that they were Camellias. I am no expert on flowers, but I'm going to take my husband's word for it, even though he's also not an expert on flowers either!
