Merry Christmas from Colonel William Van Winkle, the Bard of Bardstown! As you can imagine, William practically begged me to take him to the park, dress him up in reindeer ears, and wrap my plaid blanket scarf around him. (Well, at least the park part is true!) I'm pretty sure that all of my neighbors thought I was insane as they watched me march to the park with all of the paraphernalia necessary to make this "photo shoot", or, as I like to refer to it, "glamour shot", happen, but I didn't care! If they can have crazy Christmas decorations then I can have a dog dressed up in a crazy Christmas costume!
Well, I hope that you and yours have a very wonderful Christmas holiday! Christmas is definitely one of my favorite times of the year, but this year it seemed to sneak up so quickly that I can't even imagine that it's already here. Tonight I am cooking diner for our family, so I am anxious to sit back tonight after it's all done and enjoy some great food, wine, and company and share in the holiday cheer with loved ones. Sadly, even though I am the one cooking dinner, William wasn't invited, as he doesn't have very good table manners! I am going to save him a piece of prime rib, though! Merry Christmas to all!
