Ruffles on Repeat

The crunch to cram in all of the plaid clad outfits I can continues as we wind down to the final week before Christmas! I have the blue and white pinstripe version of this "Edie" top from J. Crew and since I liked it so much, I obviously sprang for the plaid version for the holiday season. If you are wondering about the fit, this version seems a little looser, although not in the arms, than its pinstripe predecessor.

I decided to be somewhat unoriginal and just stick with J. Crew's expert styling suggestions by pairing the blouse with a pair of dark khaki pants, just like they showed in the catalog. Despite my selection of pants for my debut of this top, it could definitely be worn with a skirt for a dressier look for a holiday party or for Christmas.

As you can can tell from the photo below of the wine casks, I chose to wear this Edie for some local wine tasting! There are some very nice wineries in the Cucamonga Valley in Southern California, such as Galleano Winery where these photos were taken. The tasting room was packed with people gearing up for the holiday season and enjoying some good wine and Christmas cheer!
