My Not So Strange Addiction

A while back, there was a show on TLC called My Strange Addiction. I have to admit that I was a little obsessed with watching the show, which featured everything from a people who ate the foam from mattresses or rocks to a woman who was in love with her pet capybara. (If you don't know what a capybara is, Google them because they are super cute!) Well, one time they had a woman who was obsessed with shoes. In my opinion, that's not such a strange addiction. What woman doesn't love beautiful shoes? I guess her addiction went a little too far because, as I recall, shortly after the episode featuring her aired, news broke that her husband killed her. I don't think any husband is too thrilled about his wife's shoe addiction (mine certainly isn't) but that's obviously taking things a bit too far!

So, getting back to my meditation on women and their obsession with shoes (and the men who loathe them for it!), I've found that my love for shoes is so strong that it's bled into me buying other things that feature shoes. For example: skirts with shoes on them! A while back, I bought this Eva Franco shoe skirt, which you will see featured on my blog here and here. I love my Eva Franco skirt, but it was a bit on the pricey side, so I was thrilled when I found this inexpensive shoe skirt that I am wearing today from SheIn for under $10! At that price, I could definitely afford to have a strange addiction not only shoes but shoe skirts as well!

  4. I'm with you--a definite shoe addict! Love the shoe print skirt too, so fun. I never watched that show--the previews I saw just really freaked me out. I think there was one where a lady was eating dishwasher detergent or something crazy like that. People do some crazy stuff!

  13. Love the skirt! I'm a shoe addict too and my husband hates all the space they take up, but he knew about my obsession from the start so he'll just have to put up with it! If he kills me I want to be buried with my shoes...the grave would be enormous!
