Pastels, Please!

Spring is lurking around the corner and here in Los Angeles it's already "sprung", so I am starting to pull out some of my colorful pastel pieces from my closet. These pieces match the blooming flora that's also starting to show up around the region. For example, check out the lovely cherry blossom petals in my previous post from this week. Since I love color, pastel hues are a fun way to play with color, but in a slightly more subdued way. Yes, my husband said that I looked like an Easter egg this morning, but what's wrong with that? I love the colors associated with Easter, be it on my candy (like the Cadbury mini eggs) or in my clothes and accessories.

The outfit I'm wearing today combines both soft pastel tones with floral print shoes. I bought these shoes on clearance at Marshals a while back and I love them because of the low heel and the incredible comfort they afford me. Below I have picked some other floral footwear options in a variety of heel heights including some higher options for when you're feeling a little less practical but still want to put a spring in your step! I've also selected a variety of fun pastel bags for a quick infusion of pastel, in case you don't feel like going for the head to toe pastel look I am wearing today.

  4. Loving it, Katie! I really like the width of those pant legs...not a capri, not a culotte. Cute, very, very cute! I am in love with those t-strap sandals and the candy floral pumps. More things to add to the Wish List. Thanks, doll!

  8. What a beautiful light Spring look. You wear the pretty lavender culottes so well. I just love your pretty shoes and pretty bag which go together so well. I am saving up so I can get that bag. And Payless has currently some pretty and inexpensive pastel floral pumps which I am eyeing.
