The Devil's in the Details

Blogging has made me appreciate the little details that can add that extra "wow" factor to an outfit. A plain dress or top can become extraordinary or at least vaguely more interesting with the addition of a belt, bag or just the right statement piece. It's sort of like in The Big Lebowski when The Dude famously tries to express his dismay regarding his stolen rug by explaining:  "Well, sir, it's this rug I had. It really tied the room together." Like the Dude's rug, an accessory can really tie an outfit together. I just had a really surreal moment while typing this because two dreamingwithjeff.com commercials from the Super Bowl, featuring Jeff Bridges (The Dude in The Big Lebowski), just came on. What is that commercial for anyway?

Well, like the commercial I just described, the first paragraph of this post probably made no sense whatsoever unless you've seen The Big Lebowski or the Super Bowl ad with Jeff Bridges in it, so let me just cut to the chase and showcase some of the details in my outfit for today. (Note to self, stop doing stream of consciousness posts!)

    Gorgeous, feminine, whimsical details here! Loving everything about this look! Wouldn't have thought to pair that bag and shoe with the floral dress but it looks great!

    It really is all about the details. Whenever I start to get bored with my closet, I look at adding a new accessory rather than overhauling all of my clothes. Usually that's enough to make me appreciate what I already own. (Also, I love those sunglasses on you. I tried on the same pair and hated how they looked on me. So I just live vicariously through others who have them!)
