Pastel Confusion

I have to confess that for the last two weeks I was under the impression that this upcoming Sunday would be Easter. I discovered today that it is actually two weeks away.  My confusion is largely due to my husband who told me he thought the holiday was this weekend. He later revealed to me that this was just a guess to which I responded, "you didn't look it up?" Also, my spring break starts next week and usually Easter falls on the weekend immediately before or after it. It was only when I happened upon a Facebook post from my local doughnut shop stating that they would be closed on April 20th for Easter that I realized the mistake. Oops!

In thinking that Easter is this coming Sunday, I planned this casual outfit because of its pastel colors. Pale purple and yellow always scream Easter to me. I also was planning to make some Easter cookies today, in fact last weekend I went out and bought all of the ingredients for them. I planned to blog about them today too. Well, I am going to put that on hold too, however you can look forward to a blog about my Easter birds' nest cookies in upcoming weeks! Stay tuned!
