Gingham Twins

It's no secret that my husband and I love a little restaurant that is tucked away in a quaint bungalow in Pasadena. The restaurant is The Raymond, and it's a must go to for anyone who wants good food that is a little artistic without being too pretentious. Well, as I was getting dressed to go out tonight, I realized that my husband had a similar idea about what to wear. This sometimes happens, and perhaps it's a product of spending too much time together. (You really do start to think alike after being married for years, for better or worse.) My husband and I both had on gingham shirts on today, although luckily in different colors.

If this wasn't enough of a coincidence, when we arrived at the restaurant the waiters were also given the same gingham memo. This was the first time that I've seen this at the restaurant. Needless to say, it was a sea of gingham up in there.

While gingham was aplenty tonight, at least I was the only one sporting it with the J. Crew Tresco floral postage stamp mini from J. Crew. With all of the colors featured in this print it was difficult to choose which color gingham button down (of which I have an ample supply) to pair it with.

My husband and I had a three course meal and while I chose the pork belly for an appetizer and my husband the king crab legs, we were also twins in so far as ordering an entree. Usually we try to get different entrees to share, but the New York strip steak here is so good, we each wanted are own portion all for ourselves. Below you will see a snippet of my husband's red (slightly pink) gingham and our yummy steak.  His shirt was a better deal than mine, a Tommy Hilfiger for a mere $10 at Marshals.
