I'm also a fan of my new fan fringe necklace. It's not from J. Crew, it's actually an "inspired by" piece which is a nice way of saying it's a fake. (Although it doesn't actually say J. Crew anywhere on the piece, it's a dead ringer for it in regards to styling and color scheme.) While I normally like to have the real deal, for the price difference of $16.99 via Groopdealz vs. the astronomical $148 charged at J. Crew, I can't complain. J. Crew's faux jewelry prices are simply insane. If you want to indulge a little in a trend (which you might not be a fan of a few years down the road) sites such as Groopdealz or Sassy Steals are definitely the route to take.
Outfit: Dress: Anthropologie, Shoes: J. Crew, Bag: Prada Saffiano Lux Tote, Belt: J. Crew, Necklace: Groopdealz
This dress is adorable, and the fan fringe necklace looks terrific with it! I agree that the "inspired by" necklaces are a great way to participate in trends without spending an arm and a leg.
ReplyDeleteThanks M and thank you for the tip about Groopdealz! It's such a great way to get the look of some of the J. Crew pieces without the price tag.
DeleteWhat a pretty back on that dress!
ReplyDeleteI do have a few JC necklaces, but I only get them on super-sale, because I agree with you, some of their prices are crazy! My bubble necklace is totally "by Ebay" though!
Thank you Lisa! I love the surprise bows in the back too! I found some great deals at the 40% off sale at J. Crew on jewelery a couple weeks ago.
Deletewhat a cute dress! i agree though - the JC jewelry on sale works. retail is soooooo pricey!
ReplyDeleteThanks phiphi! I love finding the JC jewelery on super sale too! They had some pretty good deals over the last few weeks with the most recent sale.
DeleteKatie you look great here and that necklace is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks Laura! I'm starting to get into the statement necklaces trend a little more lately.
