Hello Katie Girl: Illustration

This time of year always tends to be a drag for me. It's a month before the end of the school year and there's always a ton of work to do, but because it's almost summer, I want to go into vacation mode and not do any of it! So as you can see, being in the final stretch like this is nice because the end is in sight, but tiring at the same time. We've also had days of some very overcast, gloomy and cold weather, which has only made me more tired! Well, the cure for all of this is...bright colors, of course! Nothing brightens my mood and wakes me up like a splash of color and some flowers, which is clearly reflected in the outfit I have on in today's post.

In addition to bright colors, the other thing that recently made my day was discovering that a fantastic artist had drawn up some sketches of me in several outfits that were featured on my Instagram account! One of the outfits is actually the one in this post, which I am sharing below. The artist is Lori Burt from Project Print and I absolutely love her artistic style! She got all of the details of this look down, plus, she made me look really chic (much more so than I feel lately in real life!), which cheered me up from my "May Gloom"!

While this tee is no longer available on J. Crew's website, I linked to some others that are similar and also have some adorable flowers on them. J. Crew's T-shirt game has been strong this year. The only thing I wish is that the sizing could be a little bit more accurate. Some tees seem to run quite big (like this one) while others run too small. But I can't complain too much when I'm wearing such cheerful flowers and a talented artist created a really cute illustration of me wearing them!
