A Kaleidoscope of Color

Last weekend, we went to an outdoor shopping mall in downtown Los Angeles called FIGat7th to look at the new Jen Stark installation. To say that I am a huge fan of the artwork and murals of Jen Stark would be an understatement, so it was imperative to check out this installation ASAP! The mural I used for the photos in this post is actually located on the back of an elevator. It certainly made for the perfect backdrop for my green eyelet popover dress. In some ways, I feel like I might be a little overwhelmed by the kaleidoscope of color featured in the mural but I don't think that's a bad thing! Now that I think about it, the mural looks a little like a very colorful version of those devices that spin round and round to hypnotize people. Are you getting sleepy? Probably not with the explosion of color!

If you are in the Los Angeles area, I would definitely recommend a visit to see this fun installation! Although it's not depicted here in my post, the columns and banisters of the mall are wrapped in Jen Stark's colorful prints. I also have a "pro" tip regarding the parking for those of you who plan on going. The parking is rather expensive for this particular part of downtown. (Okay, all parking is expensive in downtown Los Angeles!) What we did was we bought a box of mac n' cheese at the Target that is located in this particular shopping center and were able to get our parking validated, thus bringing our parking bill down to only $1. I definitely think that spending a couple bucks to take in the amazing art of Jen Stark was well worth the time and expense!
