A Lesson in Leopard

When it comes to leopard, a little bit is just enough.  It's one of those prints that must be handled with caution to avoid looking cheap.  I remember in middle school my friend had an annual themed slumber party for her birthday and one year we were supposed to wear hats. I talked my mom into buying me this outrageous leopard hat and matching leopard bag because I think I wanted to be like Fran Drescher on the TV show, The Nanny. (If you have never seen the show it's where leopard went to die!) I don't know what I was thinking! It was definitely too much and since then I think I have always had an aversion to the fabric.

Now that I am older and more mature, I am able to wear my leopard responsibly and not go overboard. A blouse, a bag or just a touch of leopard in your shoes is just the right dose and can add the perfect, sophisticated finishing touch to any outfit. I suppose these are the lessons we learn as we get older and wiser about fashion!
