War of the Roses

There are many flowers in the world, but perhaps none is as iconic and symbolic as the rose. While roses aren't my favorite flower, I couldn't resist this cute mini skirt found on eBay for only $10.50. Isn't that cheaper than a dozen roses? I wouldn't know because I don't buy flowers and I tell my husband not to buy them as gifts for me because they are bound to end up dead within a few days. It always seems like a waste. On one occasion, my husband did buy me a rose when he arrived late (not due to his own fault) from the airport. As an apology he purchased a singular rose from a vendor. Even though the rose was given to me years ago when we were dating I dried it and still have it to this day.

I'm not sure the name of this skirt or how far it goes back from J.  Crew, but I fancied it when I spied it for such a cheap price on eBay. When I received it in the mail I was in love with the shape and print, but a little disappointed that it was shorter than I anticipated. For ten dollars and some change, I figured it would make a cute "going out skirt." While it may not be something I keep as long as my dried rose, I guess I'll have fun in it for now.
