Hot Pants

September is upon us and it's hard to imagine that in some parts of the country thoughts are turning to fall, leaves are starting to turn, and sweaters are getting a glimpse of the light of day after being cooped up in the closet. Here in Southern California it's been well into the 90s and on some days the mercury rises above 100. It's going to be a while before I can even think about a sweater.

As a means of survival I'm sticking to shorts to keep cool. These Cynthia Rowley polka dot shorts were on clearance at Marshall's for just $15 and the shirt was $11, also found at Marshall's. It was a cool bargain and I was happy to wear it to lunch today while enjoying the weekend.
