Parrots? Check!

The sales right now on summer items are so good! The only downside I can think of to this is that the sales on summer clothing mean that fall clothing will be rolling into stores before you know it! I noticed that my local Target was already removing the BBQs and patio furniture to make room for back to school supplies and fall clothing. I don't know about you, but it feels like summer is just beginning. I'm truly not ready for anything related to fall and "back to school" are three words I definitely don't want to hear any time soon!

This parrot button-down shirt from Old Navy is one of the things that I recently picked up on the summer sale rack. I've been eyeing it for months but I never got around to purchasing it. Luckily, it paid to wait because I got it for a fantastic price! Similarly, this check skirt from the J. Crew Factory is also something that I've been thinking about getting for quite some time and when it was reduced, I picked it up for a steal! When I was hanging up my two new sale purchases in my closet, I realized they looked perfect with one another and thus an outfit was born!

Ruffles and Red

I think it's safe to say that everyone loves shopping at Target. From makeup to home decor, to clothing and accessories, you can truly get it all at Target! Not only that, but everything from the packaging to the styles offered really shows that the company takes design seriously, which is what makes shopping there such an enjoyable experience. In particular, Target has been doing a great job lately with their Who What Wear line of clothing. Just when I was starting to get bored with some of their clothing options, they come out with Who What Wear in addition to A New Day! Now I can't help but to throw an article or two of clothing into my shopping cart every time I go to Target to shop for something as mundane as bananas and toilet paper!

I purchased this ruffle poplin top, which is from the Who What Wear line, last month and it was pretty much just sitting in my closet unworn, even though it's super cute, especially with the ruffles! When I saw it styled on the blog Jeans and a Teacup, I knew I had to recreate the look, right down to the pop of red from both the bag and the earrings. So, I guess you can say this is sort of my spin on the look. That's the one thing that's so great about blogs and Instagram: they are endless sources of inspiration, not unlike Target!
