Feeling Fruity!

 

This week, I'm continuing the fruit theme with this fun tutti frutti dress that features several fruits! From strawberries to grapes to bananas to oranges and, last but not least, cherries, this dress is literally a fruit salad in dress form! As with many of my blog posts, I always say that there's a story behind the photos. In this case, I would say that there's actually two stories. The first is that these photos were taken the day that I got my second dose of the COVID vaccine. While I was feeling fantastic the day of these photos, I woke up that night with a fever and chills and so I was definitely not feeling fabulous at all! On the bright side, at least I was able to enjoy a nice spring day and lunch out before the symptoms set in!

 

The other story behind my fruity and fabulous dress relates to the lengths I went to in order to get these pictures! The original location I wanted to use for this shoot didn't work out and so I was delighted when I stumbled upon these gorgeous trees that were in full bloom. Well, much to my dismay, two neighbors were talking to one another in the middle of the sidewalk, which obstructed the shot. As a result, I decided to patiently wait for them to leave but, unfortunately, their conversation was a very lengthy one. My husband and I just hung out waiting for them to part ways but they were really engrossed in the conversation! I was about to give up because we had reservations at a restaurant in 10 minutes just down the street from here but, just in the nick of time, they left and we were able to get a few shots in before our lunch, so it all worked out in the end!
