A Squeeze of Lemon

 

One nice thing about living in Southern California is that you can have a variety of fruit trees in your backyard and, therefore, have access to fresh fruit all year long! We have a number of citrus trees in our backyard and one avocado tree that has yet to produce fruit, much to my dismay. For someone who loves to cook, like I do, or make cocktails, like my husband does it's nice to have the convenience of just going out to the backyard when a recipe calls for an orange, a lemon, a lime, or a grapefruit. In addition to loving to cook with citrus, I also can't resist a good citrus print in my wardrobe. So, when I saw this lemon print skirt from Katie Kime when it went on sale a couple of weeks ago, I knew I just had to pick one up. Now I have all the lemons I'll ever need in both my backyard and my skirt!

 

It's always fun, but also a little scary, trying new designers out. (What if I place an order and I get a lemon?) This was my first time ordering anything from Katie Kime and I must say that I was very impressed with all of the items I ordered, which was basically this skirt in three different prints. I'm definitely now a convert to this brand, especially because they come up with some pretty adorable prints! (In case you were wondering, I also ordered this skirt in a watermelon print and a cactus print and I look forward to featuring them soon on my blog!)
