Lilac Leather Jacket

This Christmas, my husband and I both picked out the "big" gift that we would receive from one another. In addition to what he picked out, I tried to surprise him with something special but realized on Christmas morning that I should not have done so because he already owned something like what I bought! In retrospect, I should have just put a big bow on the TV he purchased a few weeks ago! Anyway, for my gift, I splurged on this lilac leather jacket. I already have a few leather jackets but because purple is my favorite color, I fell in love with this one! It also matches so many different things in my wardrobe and it's buttery soft!

I'm sure you will be seeing this jacket in future blog posts but for my first time wearing it, I decided to go with something really over the top and in keeping with the whole purple color palette. This pleated sparkly chevron skirt is another recent purchase. I love that it pairs red and purple together for an unexpected yet perfect color pairing. The colors also made it seem appropriate for the holidays and, as you can see by some of the pictures, the perfect match to some gloriously iridescent Christmas ornaments and my jacket!

  1. What a great jacket, so nice with the purple top and it pops with that skirt! It's a shame the gift wasn't as good as you expected - hubby gave me a gift idea (just as I gave him one) but I always try get him little extra things too - he seemed happy with the little extras he got so I think it was a success! :)

Hope you had a merry Christmas :) We had a great time with family and so much good food!

  3. What a great gift for yourself, Katie! The color is absolute perfection and nothing quite beats a buttery soft leather jacket. You will wear this jacket for years to come, I am sure. I love the monochromatic styling of it with the gold pumps. So pretty! Thanks for linking up.

Say hello to Hello Katie! I would love to hear from you!
