I can't believe I am only now getting around to posting the pictures of my trip to Palm Springs but I guess late is better than never! Near the beginning of June, we took a short day trip to Palm Springs. My original reason for visiting was to see the famous Moorten Botanical garden before the weather became unbearably hot. Unfortunately, however, it just happened to be closed on Monday, the day we chose for our excursion! Lucky for us, there are a million other things to do and see in Palm Springs, so the trip was not a total waste. To be honest, though, I would not recommend going on Mondays in the summer, as many restaurants and even stores are closed. The fact that the botanical garden was closed just gives me an excuse to go back some time, although maybe not during summer because the temperatures in Palm Spring this time of year are scorching hot!
One of the things that we did on this trip to Palm Springs was visit some of the older iconic hotels that have been reimagined, such as the Saguaro Palm Springs featured here. I've driven past this hotel and, of course, seen it on numerous Instagram photos but I've never stopped to look around its colorful grounds. I also thought the Saguaro would be the perfect place to photograph my orange dress because it matches with the colorful surroundings perfectly! Since the drive to Palm Springs is about two hours for Los Angeles, there's really no reason to stay at a hotel but if I were to choose a hotel in the area, I very well might choose this the Saguaro because it's a color lovers dream!
I already have a list of other things that I would like to do on our next trip to Palm Springs and maybe at some point I will do a more comprehensive post on things to do and see in there but that's going to have to wait for a later date (i.e., when the temperatures cease to be in the triple digits!). So, perhaps look for that post sometime in the fall or winter!

Also, on a side note, no trip to Palm Springs would be complete without a trip to to see the Cabazon Dinosaurs. I definitely love to stop by the Cabazon outlets too (we did this on the way back) but I always have to take at least a few pictures of these dinosaurs, which I think bring me back to my childhood, as I was obsessed with dinosaurs as a kid. Be forewarned, though, the weather is always very windy in this area and skirts and dresses will fly up and hats will blow off your head...which is exactly what happened after the picture below was taken!
oh my goodness, the colors!!! What a beautiful post and I love your orange tiered dress!!
