Seaside Seersucker

The "seaside floral" print was one of my favorite prints that J. Crew rolled out this summer. Originally, I wanted the skirt version of this print, but since this peplum top went on sale first, I opted for that. Even though it wasn't my first choice, I'm actually glad that I purchased it because, while I have a million skirts in similar patterns, this top, due to the ties and peplum silhouette, is a little different from other things in my wardrobe. So, while the sale and my wallet dictated my choice, I think it ultimately led me in the right direction!

I paired my new top with these seersucker pants from J. Crew Factory. At first I thought the pants were a little snug, even though I took my usual size 4, but when I tried them on again about a month later they seemed to be just right. (Maybe I lost weight once school ended for the year?) They also have a little stretch to them, which might help make them a perfect fit. As you know, I am a sucker for seersucker, so I think I will be getting a lot more use out of them for the duration of the summer!

  1. It's a great choice, for sure! I love tops that have a good pattern and lots of colors because they can be worn with so many options. Plus, the cut on this one is so cute!
