Musical Chairs and Colorful Tassels

When I was a teenager my mom went through this decorative phase where she was in love with tassels. My dad and I would collectively cringe when we discovered that another tassel had made its way into our home and was adorning an unsuspecting curtain, doorknob, or piece of furniture. Well, I must come clean and say that I have gone this route with my wardrobe as of late! Last year I became enamored with tassel necklaces and then this spring my devotion was further solidified by my favorite bag this summer, the Rebecca Minkoff Sofia bag, which is now in stock in a different colorway after being sold out. Now I have moved on to my second tassel dress of the summer! Maybe this tassel addiction runs in the family?

This second tassel dress I am sporting is from SheIn and is perfect for these hot, hot days of summer. (Although if a big gust of wind comes, you might have a Marilyn Monroe moment!) It's also perfect when surrounded by a slew of colorful chairs that reflect the colors of each one of the tassels on my dress! At first I was concerned that there would be too many people sitting in these chairs outside during lunchtime when these photos were taken, but when the weather is over 100 degrees it turns out that isn't too much of a problem!
