Beam Me Up to Vacation Time

It's almost Memorial Day weekend and I think everyone is looking forward to having an extra day off and some well-deserved rest and relaxation with family and friends. For me, the Memorial Day weekend always gives me just a little taste of the freedom summer vacation will afford in a few weeks. Unfortunately, the next few weeks are filled with a lot of work, stress, and grading, but on the other hand, I get a couple months off, so I really have nothing to complain about!

I wore this dress last week to a very fun wine dinner and art show. The print of the dress has sort of a tropical print that makes it perfect for the anticipation of upcoming summer months. What better place to wear it than next to a rainbow colored wall that just happens to be just down the street from my favorite restaurant where the wine dinner we went to was held. In case you were wondering about the rest of the title of my post for today, my husband said the wall reminded him of the Bob Peak poster for Star Trek: The Motion Picture, hence the phrase "beam me up" in my title. It's as if these colorful beams of light are beaming me up through space to vacation time!
