The reason we were in Downtown L. A. was for a tour focused on the life of Los Angeles writer Charles Bukowski. Since a bus was the mode of transportation for the tour, my husband joked that I looked like a "bus fairy". (You'll have to read my post entitled Nordic Fairy to fully understand the joke.)
While the joke from my husband made me cringe rather than blush, I do realize that the blush color and puffy style of the skirt adds a whimsical, fairy-like element to the ensemble. In addition to adding a little bit of whimsy to your outfit, blushed colored pieces can also be just the trick to lighten up your wardrobe a bit in mid-winter. Since I love color, it's fun to add one neutral piece to something bolder and brighter to break up all of the color. However, wearing blushed tones from head to toe could also be equally striking. Here are a handful of blush and nude colored items ranging from watches, to bags to jackets that will have you blushing this winter!

Another gorgeous look, Katie! That necklace is so different! I was trying my hardest to figure out how in the heck you tied a scarf to look like that and how in the heck I was going to copy it. LOL!
ReplyDeleteYay the wall is back! I love how you manage to whimsical without it being in the least bit twee. That necklace is wonderful with the skirt.

This dotty rainbow background - the best! This tulle floral blush skirt and the cobalt one from the previous post are your two best skirts I think. I love the mini bow Kate Spade bah too. Rose Quartz as the color of the year is perfectly meant for your style and wardrobe.
