Cropped Palms

I am really loving the whole palm print trend that has been happening this summer. Maybe it's because I live in Southern California, so wearing something with palms or fronds seems appropriate. It's almost like an L.A. version of camouflage!

This is the second palm inspired piece that I picked up from Forever 21. It is a cropped top that at first I thought was a little too short, but with a high-waisted pencil skirt it seems to work. The other drawback about this cropped top is that it has cutouts under the arms that kind of show, well, a lot. For that reason I actually brought along a little cardigan with me today, so as to not bare it all! At $15.90 I think it will be a fun layering piece for spring and summer for years to come in Los Angeles.

  6. I would have never guessed that top was a crop top, great idea of wearing a high waisted skirt and bringing a cardi along to formalize it a bit! I really love that necklace and you had me laughing when you said palm prints were like camo for L.A., too perfect!
