Garden Leaves

A couple months ago when Kate Spade came out with a line of clothing primarily in shades of green and white I was smitten. The contrast of green and white stripes, or in the case of this skirt, green leaves against a white background, was crisp and refreshing for spring. While I wanted to go out and instantly buy up everything in the collection, I refrained because Kate Spade's retail prices seem absurdly high to me. A couple weeks ago all of the collection went on sale and, to top it off, was an extra 25% off. I knew it was now or never to pick a few things up. Yes, the prices are still insane, even on sale, but I was too in love with many of the pieces to turn a blind eye to the sale.

The Kate Spade "Garden Leaves" skirt was one of the things I picked up from the sale. Initially I wanted to pair it with just a simple white tee, but I'll save that for later in the summer. Instead, I topped off these pretty leaves with a yellow eyelet button down. Now all I need is the watering can purse that Kate Spade showed with the skirt. I like quirky bags, but I am not sure I could pull off a watering can purse!
