Citrus With a Twist

Every once in a while I get dressed and it seems like there is just something missing; that one extra item that needs to be added to give the look just the right amount of "oomph" to really take it over the top. My husband asked me the other day, "What's wrong with simplicity?". Nothing is wrong with being simple, but I either like an aesthetic that is intentionally very minimal or over the top. I am definitely drawn to extremes!

While today's outfit isn't exactly over the top, it does have a few additional adornments. You wouldn't think with a bright citron colored skirt anything else would need to be thrown into the mix, but with just a plain chambray shirt on top, I knew I could do better. So I added my favorite jewel encrusted belt and leopard clutch into the equation. Although it was a cloudy day, these lively touches helped to give a little color to my wardrobe and my mood.
