On the Map

I bought this Anthropologie Carte Neoprene skirt last fall and when I look back at my blog entry that featured it months ago, I am not sure that I loved my initial styling of the skirt all that much. That's one of the problems about blogging: once you post something, it's "on the map" and floating in the intangible yet all too permanent world of the Internet for eternity. Luckily, it was just an outfit as opposed to something truly scaring and embarrassing! Plus, we can learn from our mistakes. (Or at least some of us do!)  Seeing things on film really helps me to look back and figure out what works and what doesn't work wardrobe wise, so I'll just chalk my mistakes up to experience.

Today I went for a decidedly softer look with the skirt. I paired it with a pale pink cashmere sweater, yet I still played up the neon accents with my handbag. In a few months, perhaps I'll look back at this outfit and find a way to do it better, but for now I am content!
