Lately I've tried to branch out and try other brands. The problem with venturing into the uncharted territory of unknown brands is that sizing is always an issue if you're ordering online. Throw in European sizing and the matter of deciphering your size becomes even more complicated. Take for example the skirt I am wearing below from TopShop. Between the suggestions to size up or down courtesy the reviews, the "fit guide" featured on the Nordstrom website, the measurement chart for European sizing and my own intuition, my head started swimming when trying to determine which way to go size-wise. A lesser person might have just thrown up her hands and decided not to buy the skirt, but I persevered and opted to buy two sizes, thanks to Nordstrom's free shipping and returns. Problem solved.
Luckily, one of the two sizes fit and now it's all coming up roses! Speaking of roses, I think this skirt is going to have to make another appearance at the New Years Rose Parade held here in Pasadena every year. It would be the perfect skirt for the occasion.

Oh just lovely - and I adore how it goes with your blue purse!
ReplyDeleteThanks Laura! I didn't know if the shoes and bag would be too "matchy" but I think it worked!
