Anyway, like the location, my outfit is also somewhat "recycled." I have worn this scalloped dress from J. Crew before and I've blogged about it too, but I thought I would style it up a little differently. I realized that some of my favorite blogs are ones that keep reinventing new ways to wear things that I might already have in my closet, even when the pieces aren't brand new, just released items. Today I am wearing my scalloped dress with some blue and white check, my fan necklace and just a hint of leopard from my clutch. Now, it's off to get some cheese bread!

Thanks Christina! Leopard seems to go with everything!
DeleteI also love seeing how people remix items in their closet. This outfit looks great on you! I really like your accessories.

Thanks Nicole! Yes, I am really trying to experiment and learn how to shop my own closet. It's always nice to look to others for inspiration.
DeleteLove the backdrop and you look great! ;)

Thanks Claire! The Pio Pico Ranchito is a really rustic and pretty place for pictures. Plus, they have a lovely cactus garden!
DeleteSweet look! I love this, especially with the leopard!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa! I wasn't sure about the leopard, but I am trying to see it more as a "basic" that can go with anything.
DeleteI love the combination of colors and textures. What a smart idea to pair the red dress with the gingham shirt! …and the leopard clutch gives this look an extra uuumph.

It's always fun to play around with colors and textures. I usually wear this dress by itself, so I thought it would be fun to put something under it for layers. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteThanks Dawn! Maybe I'll reconsider "Where in the World is Katie Girl"! I think it would be fun too.
ReplyDeleteAhh, I totally adore that scallop dress! I have been on the hunt for more scallops and saw that dress online (but a different brand). May have to make the purchase! Loving the leopard with this look.

You should totally get it! My only complaint about this particular style from J. Crew is it is a little shorter than I would like. If it wasn't for that I would probably get it in more colors! :)
Deletehi ! Great to see you and this outfit is adorable esp with the leopard. Thanks for being at {*FiF*}, too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Renae! Also, thank you for doing such a lovely job hosting FiF!
DeleteI love how you styled this gorgeous red dress and that cactus is amazingly beautiful. =)
