"I'll Be Your Tripod"

Today I took my new J. Crew Claremont bag out for a spin for the first time, doing a little shopping and touring around town, but the problem was there was no one around to photograph it for the review I am giving today. You see, I have vacation right now, but my husband is at work and since he is usually my photographer I was out of luck. When he came home I asked him if he would do a few quick pictures and although exhausted he obliged. I said, "It's too bad our dog doesn't have opposable thumbs or that I don't have a tripod so that I could do my own photo shoots." To this, my husband responded, "Don't worry, I'll be your tripod." I thought this was both super sweet and also hilarious at the same time, so hence it became the title of my blog.

I really like the Claremont bag from J. Crew due to the convenience of its size. It will fit all your necessities, plus a little extra if needed. I bought this version in a color called Desert Pink, but it looks a little more tan in person if you ask me. The only thing I was disappointed about was that it had some indentations on the leather. It was sold out after I received it in the mail and for the $70 and some change that I paid compared to the $250 retail I thought I could just live with the indentations and tell myself that they add "character" to the bag.

I also recently acquired this pearl drop necklace from J. Crew during their 50% off promo sale last week. It was $24.99 which is the price range that I like to stay in for statement type jewelry. I thought this piece would be versatile and also might look good layered with another necklace if I try to be more adventurous with my jewelry choices in the future.

  2. Thanks Laura! Little imperfections always bug me, so I'm glad you referred to them as teeny, tiny!
