The Devil's in the Details

I apologize for the random hodgepodge of pictures, however they do serve a purpose. One of the things that I am coming to appreciate is the power of accessories to alter or change a look. I'm certainly not one to wear a lot of accessories or really bold accessories, but a subtle belt or bracelet can be just the detail you need to give a slightly different take on a dress you've worn a thousand times before. Lately I've been taking pieces from my wardrobe and just adding one or two elements to change up the way I normally wear it and while it might not be a big change, it's just enough to keep from getting bored. Accessories are a wonderful and often inexpensive way to breathe new life into something that's been hanging in your closet for a while.

So for your consideration here are just a few snippets of what I wore this week, with an emphasis on the little details which can add up to a big difference.

Outfit #1: Dress: Lauren by Ralph Lauren, Belt: J. Crew, Beach Ball Bracelet: J. Crew
Outfit #2: Dress and Belt: Anthropologie
Outfit #3: Polka Dot Blouse: Merona/Target, Belt: Target, Skirt: Anthropologie
Outfit #4: Shirt: Forever 21, Shorts: Target, Balloon Necklace: ASOS

  1. That balloon necklace is just the cutest! Such great accessories in all these outfits Katie!

  2. Thanks! The balloon makes me want to try going on a hot air balloon ride which is something I've never done. Maybe if I venture to Napa! :)

Say hello to Hello Katie! I would love to hear from you!
