Rainbows After the Rain

In my opinion, it's never too early to start dressing for Valentine's Day, so bring on the hearts, pinks and reds! I actually think these aforementioned things are perfectly fine to wear all year round but it's especially fun to start donning them around February, which isn't too far away! Case in point, a couple of weeks ago, I found this cute navy heart print blouse at Target. On Target's website, they claim that the pattern is comprised of V's, but I think they look a lot more like hearts. (Also, I guess the V could stand for Valentine's Day!) Anyway, the hearts (or V's) are really small, so it doesn't exactly scream "Valentine's Day" but it does, perhaps, give a nice little nod to the holiday.

I also like this blouse because, since the print is so subtle, it pairs well with a variety of different colors and patterns. In this ensemble, I decided to pair this blouse with these pinks pants in keeping with the Valentine's Day theme. I actually don't really need anymore pink pants but I found these after Christmas for only $8 at Banana Republic. I have no idea why they were so cheap but I didn't ask any questions when I was checking out at the register!

Last of all, how fantastic is this rainbow wall? This particular wall has been on my list of ones to visit for sometime now and since we were somewhat in the neighborhood last week, I figured it was the perfect time to visit! Unfortunately, our trip to this location was after a pretty heavy downpour of rain, so it was a little wet and the lighting was also not so great. All in all, however, it turned out okay. I thought it was quite fitting to be here after the rain because there's always a rainbow at the end of a rainstorm!
