Coming 'Round the Mountain

Lately, I've been obsessed with round bags and while I own several, the one thing missing from my collection was a straw circular bag. I was torn between the one I am wearing here, from Zara, and a more expensive version from one of my favorite bag designers, Clare V. Ultimately, I decided to save a little cash and go with the Zara version, although, truth be told, I still have my eye on the Clare V. one too. (Because the Clare V. bag comes in four different colors, I could get another round straw bag, just in a different color...but don't tell my husband!)

One of my favorite and easy combinations for my work wardrobe is to wear a fun statement tee with a skirt and a denim jacket. This yellow tee from J. Crew is a new addition to my growing statement tee collection. I loved the yellow color and how it instantly can infuse any outfit with a pop of color! I decided to wear the tee with this silk floral skirt, also from J. Crew, to bring out some of the yellow tones in the flowers featured in the skirt.

Finally, it's no secret that I love colorful walls and this one that depicts the beautiful mountains of Southern California just happens to be one of my favorites. I also like that the wall is conveniently located near one of my favorite Mexican restaurants so that when I'm craving Mexican food, it's easy to take a quick blog photo before getting a margarita and some tacos!
