I purchased this dress at the beginning of July at the Kate Spade outlet. I wore it a few weeks later when my husband and I went to Taix, a French restaurant located in Echo Park. There are a few things you should know about that excursion and this wall. First, this wall is not the exterior of Taix, but a very small market in Echo Park. Also, if you want to get to this market, you might find yourself driving up and down some very steep hills (seriously, the steepest pavement I've ever driven on anywhere) that will make you feel like you're on a roller coaster. Also, a lot of people come here on beer/liquor runs around 5:00 pm on a Saturday, which is when these photos were taken, so that's probably not the best time to choose to do a photo shoot! Other than those minor things, we had a nice dinner at Taix, which is only a few minutes away from the market.
As I write this, just thinking about all of the fun memories from the summer is making me a bit nostalgic and sad! I was lucky to be able to cross some things off of my things to do and see in Los Angeles list, although there's still so much I still need to get to. (I could seriously take a year long sabbatical to get through all of it! Hmmm...not a bad idea!) Overall, it was nice waking up late, exploring, and being free, but now it's time to shift gears and get back to work. Getting back into my work schedule might be difficult to grapple with, but at least I'll try to look stylish doing it!
