I had my eye on this "Bathing Beauty" dress from Anthropologie for quite some time. I carefully plotted out the correct sizing beforehand when it was selling for full price so that as soon as it went on sale I could snatch it up online if need be. So, when it went on sale last month, I did just that. Although this dress has been hanging in my closet for about a month now, I finally broke it out last weekend for Memorial Day and for my husband's great aunt's 100th birthday celebration. I thought since the birthday party was going to take place poolside, a summery dress featuring a vintage inspired print of diving ladies would be just perfect. However, when we got to the party we discovered that the event was actually a luau with many people donning Hawaiian shirts, so I wasn't quite in keeping with the theme, but I guess I wasn't that far off!

I wonder why they call it ?Bathing Beauty"? It is such a pretty dress - I want it. It is like a twist on a classic shirt-dress but with a tie instead of the button-down front. I have never seen prettier red wedges either. Are those current? Please let me know.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of pretty shirt-dresses in fun prints, you should check out the two I have on today's post. I think you would really like them. =)
I welcome you to linkup with me on Thursday for Thursday Moda too. Thanks.
P.S. Happy Belated 100th Birthday to your husband's great aunt! That is quite a milestone to live an entire century! You looked beautiful for the occasion, pretty Katie. =))
Enjoy the rest of the week! <3 Ada.
