I'd like to claim that this is an outfit that I wore last weekend for Easter, but that would be a lie because I actually wore this head to toe green ensemble a few weeks ago for Saint Patrick's Day. Regardless of the holiday, the pink and green in addition to the leaf motif of the skirt definitely makes this outfit perfect for any holiday or any random day in spring spent walking through the park with a gazebo. I saw a random article in the New York Times about how people who spend time outdoors are happier than those who don't, which makes sense. A couple of weeks ago, after spending a day off at the Huntington Gardens, I definitely felt happier, but a lot of that had to do with simply having the day off from work. Clearly, if you are spending time outdoors, you are most likely not working, so of course you are happy! Also, that article stated that just looking at pictures of greenery like trees can make you happy, which is probably why this leaf print skirt from Kate Spade is one my favorites!

That vivid combo is amazing and that skirt is EVERYTHING! #sharethejoy
ReplyDeleteLove it! That is the perfect Spring outfit! I always love seeing what you're wearing not just because you wear gorgeous outfits, but you always have the cutest details, too, Katie. That belt and those bracelets are just perfect with the entire outfit. I love gold and green together. I think I like your theory on being outside (I wonder if people who work outside are as happy as those just enjoying the outdoors. LOL!) Thank you for sharing with #sharethejoylinky!
ReplyDeleteKatie, you know I love your colorful outfits, and this is yet another skirt I would love to covet, so pretty!! The additional pink with the bag is one of my fav combinations!

I am going to agree about the idea of people being happier if they are outdoors more, which I need to be outside more often too. I always love your outdoor photos and locations as you know.
ReplyDeleteThat Kate Spade skirt is perfect for St. Paddy's, Easter and actually any season not just Spring. I also love the Sophie Blume bag and your attention to detail with the pretty bracelets, beautiful bag and little belt is amazing as usual, Katie.

What a fun look! I love the minty green with the kelly green of your skirt, and the gold accessories are so fun. I totally agree about being happier after spending time outside--I work in an office setting and days I get to skip that and be outside are the best! I would like to spend more time outside than I do now.
