Crop Top

Lately, cropped tops have been "cropping up" everywhere! Normally, I would shy away from this trend, as I think I am too old for it and it has never been my style, but I found this top a couple months ago at Nordstrom and I rather liked the shade of green and the embellished collar. Plus, it's not too short, and with a high-waisted pencil skirt like I have on today, it prevents you from baring your stomach for all the world to see.

This reminds me of an interesting story from last week regarding my stomach, which is really a testament to why teaching will always provide you with interesting stories. One of my students asked me if I had two children to which I replied no, I have no children. She looked surprised and said she thought I did because one day she thought my stomach looked a little bigger, implying that at one point during the school year I had given birth to twins. Sorry, I guess I missed that! Well, perhaps it was just a day that I was bloated. Come to think of it, I have lost about five pounds, which could easily be mistaken for looking like I was pregnant... with twins.
