Raining on My Parade

Rain in Southern California is a rare occurrence, so it's no wonder that the local news stations have a field day with it, announcing headlines such as: Storm Watch 2014! Storm Watch? It's just a couple inches in a couple days. In most parts of the country this happens all the time. The other thing that baffles me is how clueless people are about driving in the rain. I can't believe how many fender benders and collisions I have seen as a result of people failing to take into consideration some basic laws of physics as they drive in the slick conditions.

Well, I won't let any of the above "rain on my parade". I actually love the rain. There's nothing better than hearing the pitter patter of rain on your roof and windows while you curl up under the blankets. Plus, you get to wear fun rain gear. I put on my favorite pair of rain boots and this colorful jacket from Custo Barcelona for one of our rain days this week. Just because it's gloomy out it doesn't mean you can't infuse some color and fun into what you're sporting!
