Casual Francophile

As a continuation of my Fancy Francophile post last week, I am showing a more casual take on the "Parisian Lady" Collector Tee from the J. Crew Factory. I have been on somewhat of a pant buying spree, including these "Dannie" leather-trim pants from J.Crew that I am sporting today. In my opinion, the "Dannie" pants are a really nice, classic take on skinny black cigarette pant type of look that is always so chic and classic. The leather on the waistband and pockets isn't really visible unless you tuck your shirt in, but it's fun to know that it's there. It makes you feel like a secret "bad ass".

To top off my casual Francophile look, I add a polka dot blazer for just a bit of fun. On a side note, I realized that I still had the paper covering on the buttons located on the sleeves of the blazer as I was sitting in a meeting. I am always guilty of doing stuff like this, be it the stitching that keeps the pleat together on the back of the jacket, those pesky cloth security tags that are located on the inside of clothing (even when you buy it online) or the tag identifying the size of your jeans that is sewn on to the pocket. I am known to neglect all of the above and walk around with it all on display! I guess that's why I'll never quite have the je ne sais quoi that I discussed about Parisian women in my last post!
