Check it Out!

A checkered pattern is always a hit in my book. Last year I was really enamored with the checkered Sadie skirt from kate spade, but it flew off the shelves before I could snatch it up in my size. Luckily, Banana Republic came out with an equally cute checkered skirt this spring. The gingham full skirt from Banana Republic caught my eye on the company's website as a new arrival, but apparently it caught everyone else's eye too, because it was sold out in my size almost immediately.

On a whim I decided to check eBay and to my surprise someone was selling the skirt, new with tags, in multiple sizes. (This always makes me a little suspicious as I wonder how these people obtain the merchandise, but hey, I found my skirt!) Anyway,  I was torn between bidding on a size 2 or 4 and decided to let the price of the auction dictate my choice. The size 4 sold for $32 while the size 2 sold for close to $80, so it was a no brainer.  I ended up winning the size 4 and actually the fit is just perfect! Check out my photos below modeling the Banana Republic gingham full skirt!
