A Colorful Anniversary

This last Wednesday was our 6th wedding anniversary and we celebrated in style. First, we went to the Hollywood Bowl on the day of our anniversary to see one of our favorite comedians, now Bluegrass musician/Banjo player extraordinaire, Steve Martin. Second, as part of a two day anniversary celebration, yesterday we visited the place we were married: the historic Huntington Hotel, which was the Ritz-Carlton Pasadena when we were married and is now The Langham.

While some things have changed at the hotel, like the restaurant where we had our reception, its decor and the chef who did an amazing job catering our wedding, I'm glad some things haven't. The quaint red bridge where we said our vows is luckily still intact. This is where we snapped a few pictures before going to dinner last night. We have a tradition of dinning here for our anniversary, but haven't done so for a few years since the hotel came under new management and the restaurant through several unsuccessful iterations. Regardless of some of the changes that have taken place,  the only thing that really matters is being married to my husband, which is the best anniversary gift anyone could have. We are both pretty colorful characters individually, but somehow we work well together and that is all anyone could ask for.

 

Below is a picture of the Huntington Hotel in Pasadena. It is quite a splendid place that brings back a lot of nice memories for both me and my husband.
