Belt it Out!

I have to admit that I have been less than thrilled with a lot of the new fall arrivals this year. Maybe it's because the color palettes are more muted this seasons or maybe it's because I already own everything I could ever need wardrobe wise, but whatever it is, it's good because I haven't been too terribly tempted to buy anything lately.

The only exception would be accessories. I am starting to look into some fun accessories to spruce up the pieces I already own in my wardrobe, such as this Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti belt courtesy of Yoox.com. It's made in Italy and only set me back $26. With all of the colors it's the perfect way to jazz up some of my monochromatic dresses, such as this red peplum number from the J. Crew Factory.

    1. Yay for dress twins! I think this would be the perfect, practical little black dress, which is actually one thing I don't have in my closet.

  3. Really great red and I love the fun belt with it! I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one not completely on board with this fall's palette.

    1. I tend to gravitate towards brighter colors, so I am really not feeling a lot of the muted fall colors. I am also glad someone else feels the same way. We will see what comes around next fall!

  4. That is a gorgeous, classic red dress. Every woman should have at least ONE Stunning Red Dress in her closet. You did a great job styling it. The rainbow belt pops. Such a beautiful outfit, Ms. Katie!!

    1. Yes, instead of having a little black dress I have a whole lot of dresses in other colors. Red is a great basic though and it works for all seasons in my opinion.

    1. Thanks! No one at work gets very dressed up, so I always find a way to make my outfits more casual. My husband and I went to the theater after work when these pictures were taken, so I wanted something just a little dressy for the occasion.

  6. I know! They had the shoes in black and nude. I think I want to go back for the black patent leather ones if they still have them.
