Girl Power!

Since it's Women's History Month, why not celebrate girl power with an article of clothing like this playful button-down shirt from Old Navy? I fell in love with this shirt's whimsical print that depicts women engaged in a variety of activities, such as skating, rollerblading, and even hula hooping! (Wow, it's been a long time since I've done any of these things!) Not only is this a cute print in a lovely shade of light pink, it's also a great value at only $12!

I decided to pair this blouse with a pair of red wool pants. Pink and red is one of those combinations that, prior to blogging, I wouldn't have thought to try but after seeing it on so many other blogs and outfits featured on Instagram, I too became hooked on the color combo. That's one of the fantastic thing about blogging and engaging with other fashionable women on social media: it's an endless source of encouragement and inspiration, which is the ultimate form of girl power!

  2. Such a perfect shirt for IWD! :) It's really cute with the red pants too and I'm loving the further colour pop with the blue flats. I've tried blush and burgundy because of inspiration from other bloggers, but haven't got the right pieces to try red and pink together like this yet!
