Hooray for National Stripes Day!

Today there are two things to be excited about: first, and foremost, it's almost the beginning of my spring break, so obviously I am jumping for joy because I have a week off! Second, it's almost National Stripes Day (March 31), thanks to J. Crew. I am one of those people who is conflicted in my feelings regarding all of the "holidays" that have somehow come into existence due to social media. Everyday is literally something, be it National Doughnut Day, National Puppy Day, or National Bacon Day. (Actually, those three specific "holidays" sound pretty good to me!) It does, however, become somewhat annoying, but it's also somewhat fun at the same time. As I love stripes, I am game for celebrating and sharing some of my favorite stripe themed looks, including this one below:

I bought this long-sleeved T-shirt from J. Crew a couple weeks ago. I like that it takes traditional stripes and combines it with a floral pattern designed by artist, Micheal De Feo. I thought that I purchased the shirt for a great price, but it's now about $12 on the website, which really is a steal! If they still have your size, I would definitely snatch it up before it disappears; it might go quickly once people realize that it's not only a great price, but that also it can be worn for National Stripes Day! I'm of the opinion that buying at least one thing with stripes should be mandatory for National Stripes Day!

  4. You're getting to be a pro at the jumping shots! :) I am with you on the "holidays," some of them seem like kind of a stretch. I can get behind a day for stripes though! I love that unique take on stripes in that top.
